WP1 ensures the overall management, coordination, and governance of the Project, providing the operational backbone for all activities. It is responsible for monitoring progress, ensuring the timely delivery of outputs, coordinating partners, and maintaining alignment with project objectives and quality standards.

This Work Package supports both the administrative and technical implementation of the Project, including financial management, reporting to the European Commission, risk monitoring, and quality control processes. It also establishes the communication and coordination mechanisms across the Consortium, ensuring coherence between Work Packages and enabling effective collaboration among all partners throughout the Project lifecycle.

WP2 focuses on the collection and systematic review of existing regulatory frameworks applicable to spaceports worldwide. Through a structured survey and comparative analysis across more than 40 jurisdictions, this Work Package identifies relevant practices, standards, and guidelines governing launch operations and spaceport activities.

The objective is to build a comprehensive and structured knowledge base of global regulatory approaches, enabling the identification of regulatory patterns, gaps, and challenges. This analytical foundation is essential for informing subsequent assessment and proposal phases of the Project.

WP3 builds on the data collected in WP2 to assess regulatory practices using defined key performance indicators (KPIs). Through a structured and comparative evaluation process, this Work Package identifies the most effective practices in terms of safety, interoperability, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

At the same time, it identifies regulatory shortcomings and gaps that hinder the development of a competitive and harmonised European spaceport ecosystem. These insights provide the basis for the formulation of evidence-based regulatory solutions in the following phases of the Project.

WP4 is dedicated to the development of a regulatory proposal for European spaceports. Based on the assessment of best practices and identified gaps, this Work Package defines regulatory pathways and translates them into a structured regulatory proposal. The objective is to deliver a coherent, practical, and forward-looking framework that supports safe and interoperable launch operations, reduces regulatory fragmentation across Member States, and strengthens the EU’s global competitiveness in the space sector.

WP5 ensures continuous engagement with relevant stakeholders – including industry actors, regulators, and institutions – throughout the Project. It establishes consultation mechanisms, surveys, and events to gather feedback, validate findings, and promote dialogue across the European space ecosystem. This Work Package also supports knowledge transfer and awareness, ensuring that the Project’s outputs are aligned with market needs and stakeholder expectations.

WP6 focuses on maximizing the visibility, dissemination, and long-term impact of the Project’s outputs. It develops and implements a comprehensive strategy to communicate results, engage target audiences, and promote the adoption of the proposed regulatory framework. Through digital platforms, events, and targeted outreach activities, this Work Package ensures that the Project’s findings are widely accessible and effectively used by policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the broader space community.
