AEAAS public deliverables document the project's work and make its main results openly accessible. Across the 12-month programme, they follow the full development pathway: from project governance and the review of spaceport regulation in more than 40 jurisdictions, through KPI-based assessment and gap analysis, to regulatory pathways and a final proposal for common European practices.

This page brings those outputs together in one place. It also includes the project's engagement and knowledge-transfer strategy, data management plans, and final reporting on impact, dissemination, exploitation and communication. Each public deliverable is added following its completion and approval by the AEAAS consortium.

Three-Part Explanatory Report

Work Package 2 – Review of Worldwide Spaceports’ Regulations

A comparative review of spaceport regulation across more than 40 jurisdictions and 31 regulatory items. Using three Pilot Jurisdictions and a Tier 1/Tier 2 analytical structure, the report maps regulatory practices and instruments, including standards, guidelines and incentive programmes; identifies patterns of regulatory convergence and divergence; and examines key technical and regulatory challenges. Its findings provide the analytical foundation for subsequent AEAAS work towards a common European regulatory framework for spaceports.

AEAAS Project Handbook and Quality Plan

Work Package 1 – Project Management

The AEAAS Project Handbook establishes the operational framework for the project. It defines the project’s objectives and scope, governance structure, partner roles and responsibilities, work packages, tasks, deliverables and milestones. It also sets out the risk-management procedures, meeting and reporting arrangements, and the Quality Assurance and Monitoring Plan guiding the review and implementation of the project.

The assessment framework for evaluating identified practices, standards and guidelines. It will define the project’s outcome KPIs, explain their rationale and methodology, and set out the parameters, scoring logic and limitations of the assessment.

Best Practices, Standards and Guidelines and Gap Reports

An evidence-based application of the D3.1 KPIs to the practices identified under D2.1. It will identify selected best practices and explain the regulatory gaps, shortcomings and bottlenecks revealed by the assessment.

White Paper on Regulatory Pathways

An analysis of potential pathways for European spaceport regulation, assessed for uptake, enforceability and workability. It will recommend the most appropriate pathway or pathways and consider safety, sustainability, interoperability, sovereignty and EU autonomy in access to space.

A coherent and workable proposal for European spaceports, building on D2.1–D4.1. It will address key regulatory matters including licensing, safety, infrastructure, sustainability, interoperability, liability, insurance and international coordination.

An assessment of the project’s performance against its expected outcomes and KPIs, drawing on quantitative and qualitative evidence. It will capture lessons learned, limitations, areas for improvement and practical follow-up recommendations.

The final account of the project’s dissemination, exploitation and communication activities and results. It will compare performance against DEC KPIs and document audiences, channels, events, engagement, exploitation pathways and lessons learned.

The initial plan for managing the project’s expected datasets. It will define arrangements for storage, preservation, sharing and access, while addressing FAIR principles, data protection and the repositories or access mechanisms to be used.
